Manila is the Philippines' capital. It is also known to have one of the Philippines' oldest churches. The Manila Cathedral was not far from where I was going. So I decided to pay a visit.
I was able to attend the 7 a.m. morning mass, and it felt great to be able to do so so early in the morning and start the day.
After the mass, I was able to walk around the church, and there was a small section to the side where they displayed the church's history. Reading through the church's history, I was astounded to learn that this church was built in 1581 and has been renovated eight times due to natural disasters and war.
It's really beautiful! Hopefully, I'll be able to visit more churches and learn about their histories.
