This is called OWANBE PARTY. The Yorubas have a partying culture. Usually on Saturdays, you can find parties going on in most areas of the city. If there is no burial ceremony, maybe it's a naming or birthday ceremony. Coronations or graduations are also part of the celebration. It's very lively, and people merry together with love, However, it has its disadvantages.

My friends and I attended this party. A member of the government threw the party and it was an obligation for me as a politician to attend. Our faces are bright and happy with laughter. It was a great event. Though I never had a chance to take pictures with the celebrant, the party managers treated us well, and I think that's enough to make our day.

You can call me Joycee.
