Hello Liketu! So first let me apologize for posting without an introduction first. It is hard to remember that something like this front end is new to Hive. It is very much welcomed, and I am excited for this new way to access my favorite Blockchain. My name is Jonathan, and I blog under the name @jonyoudyer. The picyoudyer account is specifically for Microblogging. I live in the Monterey Bay area of California, where I enjoy spending lots of time with my family. Since I work 6 days a week, it is something I try to take advantage as much as possible. My two boys, 6yo, and 4yo are my life. I am also happily married to @loryluvszombies, who I try to get her to Blog here, but to no avail lol. The other aspect that is a huge part of my life is cannabis. It has helped me get off hard drugs, so it is something I will always hold dear to my heart, and represent it in a positive light. Which is what led to the creation of @canna-curate where we wanted to support this wonderful plant here on the Chain, and all in a respectful matter killing the stereo types of your typical 'Pot head'. I mainly will be blogging about my small personal indoor cannabis grow, but occasionally blog about my time out with my family. I look forward to meeting more people outside of the Cannabis Community here on Liketu!

Hey Jonathan, so nice to see a happy face, one which I can attach to a nickname. I personally would like to see more of that from other contributors, but for some reason, privacy is lauded quite a bit here so I appreciate the photos you've shared!
Even though there are obviously loads of people in California, there are currently (afaik) none posting on Liketu, we seem to attract people from Aceh for some reason, so congrats on being the first!
Even though I am American by birth right, I have basically spent zero amount of my adult life there, and I really don't understand or know much about it beyond what I see on blogs and MSM. As such, I'm also quite interested in the Cannabis community because I know it was legalised there a few years ago, and I wonder what sort of effect that has had.
My run ins with weed began (much like most people) in school. I used to sneakily acquire it from the dodgy dude at the corner of an even more dodgy street. I would have no idea if it was legit, frankly I didn't care at the time. I would hide in cemeteries smoking it with my friends thinking how terrifying it is that we are "breaking the law" but at the same time, how exciting it is to be getting away with it - and of course how much inherent fun smoking the legit stuff is.
It wouldn't be until way into my adult life that I revisited this and saw it completely differently. I suppose I had a second "growth spurt" in my way of thinking as I explored crypto and it unlocked more liberal views, particularly on bodily autonomy. I have since visited Amsterdam several times and happily smoked, and eaten weed, enjoyed it so much that I make it a semi regular occurrence now.
Meanwhile in the UK, it still remains a very taboo topic and the mention of it usually results in application of "pot head" label you described. We are very behind here and have a long ways to go before it becoming legalized.
Oh yeah I remember those early days of sneaking around! It is so crazy how times have changed. I remember always wanting to visit Amsterdam Nehemiah I was younger, I still do. But here in California we have had legal cannabis since 1996. Even though it was a little different since the recreational law came into effect a few years ago. Thank you for your nice comment. I suppose since I used to be active in Instagram is why I’m used to shot face more so then others. Or maybe it’s just me lol. I’ll post some more cool stuff from my surrounding area :)
