Alas, Lunar New Year has come to an end... just kidding.
Lunar New Year actually lasts for 15 days, but the actual get-together or family reunion happens on the eve of Lunar New Year.
This year, my sister made a fantastic meal, and bought a fantastic dessert: MOCHI!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to enjoy them, as I live miles away from my nuclear family. I shall enjoy them in spirit.
But she sent me this picture of the most beautiful mochi I have ever seen. So jealous, but so happy for them.
Perhaps, when I return home, I shall ask her where she got the mochi, so I can finally enjoy the ones she showed off. Awaiting that day to come...

Interesting shapes. I love mochis and often buy them but never see them other than in round shape.
These definitely do look unique!
