Hello liketu 👋🏼 I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and welcome you all to my page!

I'm Mrs Muco and I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher specialising in the Early Years and Key Stage 1. I'm currently working in Reception (🤪) and I have recently taken on the role of Maths Leader in the school 👩🏻‍🏫

I am a specialist in early language acquisition and child development having studied BSc Psychology & Language Sciences at UCL 🎓 I also completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education in London and have supported many children on their learning journey over the years 🐰

One of my favourite subjects to teach is Phonics. I'm passionate about helping children to discover a love for reading! I hope that I can pass on my knowledge and show you the difference you can make to a child's life by encouraging them to read 💪🏼📚

My main goal is to empower parents as educators so that you feel confident supporting your children with their learning at home. This will have a huge impact on their progress and attainment at school 🙌🏼

Please feel free to get in touch for a chat or if you would like any support or advice ☁️💬

Welcome to Hive. I hope you can have fun here.

I have to wonder what your relationship is to @planet.muco. I look out for new UK accounts and you both came up.

@steevc Hey! I am Mr Muco, nice to meet you! Good spot, we are related. She is my wife and will be posting some useful tips for parents. This platform is new to us, how have you been finding Liketu?

Hi. I have not used Liketu yet. I have been on the Hive blockchain almost since it started and use various dapps, but my main ones for interacting with posts are peakd and ecency. We have lots of choices. There are games too. I recommend exploring. You can find at lot of them at https://hiveprojects.io/

Have fun.

Hey @mrsmuco, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that you can use BEER at dCity game to **buy dCity NFT cards** to rule the world.

Hi! UCL grad here 🙃

Welcome, it's great to see you on Liketu.

I have a few friends that would really love child development/teaching content. Looking forward to seeing more.

Hello, @mrsmuco! This is @anggreklestari from the @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive Blockchain! Congratulations and welcome!

I already commented on your Instagram post to verify your account. Kindly please answer my comment :)

Well, you can explore the communities that are suitable for your content. You can read some of the communities in this post: OCD Communities Incubation Program

For tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide.

The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions or concerns, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions.

Have a great day!

Welcome to the Hive community @mrsmuco!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain, Peaklock, Hivesigner, and Hivelock,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords, do NOT use these to sign in anywhere!
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and
be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own
    .
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hiveans available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Have fun and happy Hiving!

"One of my favourite subjects to teach is Phonics."

It is really refreshing to see teachers returning to the old, "tried and true" methods! I'm not an educator myself, but I was schooled under the old system when phonics was the only method being taught. I remember my father constantly telling me to "sound out the word". Since the introduction of this new whole language method, we have really seen a decline in general linguistic skills in society. It is quite sad, seeing young people these days try to wield a vocabulary that they just honestly do not understand; using words in completely the wrong context; and giving the same, lame excuse that "as long as you understand what I mean, it doesn't matter". If they don't mind looking uneducated, then, sure, it doesn't matter.
