End of year shopping

Para celebrar el fin de año no teníamos nada planeado, de hecho, fue de último momento que decidimos hacer algo para no dejar pasar por alto nuestro primer fin de año en otro país y ya que mi amiga tenía planes nosotros por nuestra cuenta lo celebramos a nuestra manera.

We didn't have anything planned to celebrate the end of the year, in fact, it was at the last minute that we decided to do something so as not to miss our first New Year's Eve in another country and since my friend had plans, we celebrated it on our own in our own way.

Luego de decidir como celebrariamos nuestro fin de año nos fuimos al supermercado a hacer las compras correspondientes y con nuestra lista en mano fuimos por cada una de las cosas que necesitabamos para preparar nuestra cena. Había oferta en uvas y la aprovechamos, así como también compramos manzanas y nueces para colocar en nuestra mesa.

After deciding how we would celebrate our New Year's Eve, we went to the supermarket to do the corresponding shopping and with our list in hand we went for each of the things we needed to prepare our dinner. There was a sale on grapes and we took advantage of it, as well as buying apples and nuts to put on our table.

Personalmente nunca me ha gustado el alcohol y nunca lo he necesitado para poder disfrutar de alguna celebración pero esta vez me animé a comprar un vino para poder brindar por la llegada del año nuevo, había varias opciones para elegir en el supermercado pero yo elegí el que tenía menos alcohol, que además fue una buena decisión porque estaba delicioso y tenía un sabor suave y agradable.

Personally, I have never liked alcohol and I have never needed it to enjoy a celebration, but this time I decided to buy a wine to toast the arrival of the new year. There were several options to choose from in the supermarket, but I chose the one with the least alcohol, which was also a good decision because it was delicious and had a smooth and pleasant flavor.

Por la fecha el supermercado estaba repleto y tuvimos que hacer una larga fila para pagar nuestros artículos y apenas llegamos a casa nos pusimos a preparar todo para el día siguiente, ya que el mismo 31 tuvimos que trabajar y no íbamos a tener tiempo de hacer todo al momento.

At that time the supermarket was packed and we had to wait in a long line to pay for our items and as soon as we got home we started to prepare everything for the next day, since we had to work on the 31st and we were not going to have time to do everything at once.
