The Farmboy's sandwich...
Just a bit of a twist on the colors...
And this? Hmmm... mine!
Yesterday, the husband decided to make something for our afternoon snack. Sandwich he said and instead of the usual, he made something else, perhaps out of fun and to try something different too.
He wanted it dry and crunchy so he added tortilla chips on top of the beef patty. Besides those and the eggs, there were nothing else. Cheese, mayo, mustard or bread spread? Nada. Did I mention he liked them dry? Yep!
He did wish there were veggies or at least tomatoes to add but we haven't grown any (yet). We harvested the last pieces of romaine at the backyard in the previous month and for some reason we both got sidetracked and haven't had any plan on what to grow. The weeds have overtaken the space so it will take a while to clear away.
Anyhow, back to the sandwich that he made, it was okay but he himself laughed after a few bite because it was just too dry. The tortilla chips did their job as expected, sounding crunchy in the mouth, lol! Well, he ended up adding mayo which made a difference.
This morning's breakfast was nothing fancy. It was like that of yesterday's snacks with a bit of a twist. Chocolate spread over the bread then topped with an egg. On the sides were slices of banana and guava, its seeds and pulp taken out. Weird? Hmmm...
Maybe we are just trying to be experimental. Sometimes the outcome can be surprisingly good, others, well... "just-just" as someone I know puts it. Our taste buds can be accepting and would want the same next time. On other days, it would say, "no thank you."
Yesterday was okay, this morning was better. Perhaps the next one would be the best? We shall see as this type of adventure will surely go on.

My first time seeing sandwiches with slices of guavas and bananas on the side. I am sure it is healthy, but I wonder how that actually tastes. 😊

I try to do that too. Especially when the fridge is running low and I need to come up with something. Hubby says I’m creative than hehehe 🤭

Somehow, I'm not surprised Tito Ed hehe! They were tasty just the first two were a bit dry so adding mustard or mayo or any other spread would make them taste a lot better.
