It has been a very stressful and overwhelming week for both me and my friend. We desperately needed a breather and we planned to go to a park at first.
However our plan took a turn and twist when the sky turned very cloudy in the evening and the road leading to the park we wanted to go was having a bad and terrible traffic jam. So we had to change plans.
It is the last weekend before the Muslims celebrating their Hari Raya Puasa so the mall and roads are full of crowds and cars. We heard some people even queued in the car park for an hour just to exit the parking, oh dear.
Luckily for us, we managed to secure a parking pretty soon after we entered the car park of the mall. Then we started walking around and my eldest was disappointed with not being able to play basketball. #josephinengpy7 suggested to go to the arcade for some basketball fun. So we did.
My firstborn is scared of going on the escalator so @josephinengpy7 actually carried him on every escalator. Oh my, really thanks to her because he is 20+kg now and if I were to carry, I know it may take a toil on my back which is advised by my chiropractor to take care for now.
So they played a few games at the arcade: the basketball shooting machine, the air hockey machine and also another one shooting zombies. The zombie shooting game was a great surprise to see real balls coming out of the gun to shoot at the zombies on the screen. It made me wonder how it actually works hahah. Next to it was a water shooting gun with real water too!
My son beat me in the air hockey game easily but he could not win against @josephinengpy7. Hahahah. After that we went to another arcade to let him watch @josephinengpy7 play Time Crisis.
The youngest son was amazed by claw machines and we were looking at some youngsters trying their luck. Good thing he didn't ask me to try heheh because if I were to try, I am very sure I will be wasting a lot of money trying to get one. He then play "hit the mole" where the "mole" turned out to be Mickey Mouse?!
After the arcade, we went other places like the Pet Hotel to check out some animals. On that, I will keep it to a separate post another day.
We just wanted to destress and spend time with the children. My boys were very happy to be out with my friends. Just needed something out of the normal routine before resuming another cycle of tutoring some students who are due for their IGCSE exams too.

Why do I get the feeling that Jo is enjoying the games more than the kids? 😎
