We did it folks! 7 days into our 21 day challenge and that is 1 week down, 2 weeks to go!
Today, I was forced to go fast not because i felt i could, but because it is bank holiday, it is still raining all day outside.
I tried to run at my "threshold" - typically a pace one could hold for about an hour - comfortably hard but not all out.
Suffice to say, I could only last 50 minutes at about 3'50 pace avg before having to walk a km and then had to go above 4'00 for the rest.
It was incredibly difficult, even more so because the accumulated fatigue from the week of half marathons.
I promise i will take it easy tomorrow. My body tells me i dont have a choice..

The truth is that I admire you very much, 7 days doing 21Km with that time and that pace is brutal, my respects 💪🏻💪🏻
I admire all the participants for challenging themselves. Running is something i enjoy and have been doing regularly for quite some time, I understand how difficult it is for people to build up a habit and consistency. This is why I wanted to start this challenge, to let everyone have something to work towards, to stay accountable, and to feel 'rewarded' for completing something truly challenging.
😳 It is not easy what you have proposed, but I think you are one of those who say as I say "I am the size of the circumstance that is put in front of me" so I know that no matter how hard it is, you will achieve it.
Ha and I was waiting for today's sneaker, as I am a shoe lover.
Take good care of yourself and take it easy, but take it steady 💪.
Ah, I forgot to take a picture of my shoes today, and I'm happy to hear you are a fellow shoe lover. I will not forget tomorrow :)
Thanks for following my progress!
Okay 😊 thanks, stay tuned for the race shoes of the day.
Success, keep going 💪 yes you will make it.
How brutal that rhythm graph, how you manage to keep it is still hard for me, I have many peaks but I will work on the tempo.
I think the pace isn't as important as training the 'intensity' - the body adapts very quickly to 'threshold' intensity, so a controlled amount of training at that intensity will give the body rapid adaptations that can lead to more speed endurance.
amazing, missing shoes 😂😂
Shoe exhibition is back tomorrow.
👀👀@elmerlin 😂🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Yes!
day 7 🥳🥳 I admire your fortitude in doing half marathon every day 🏃♀️
I was waiting for the picture of the shoes 🤣🤣
The shoe show will continue tomorrow! 😂
Wow you're going all out I guess taking it easy will be at 5 minutes per km heheh
I'm feeling quite sore. I think I will likely speed walk today.
You can try an ice water bath on your legs, it may help you a lot.
