ATTN: BIRTHDAY FEELS COMING AT YA⁣

Saying “see ya” to 27, a big ass year that also wasn’t what I thought, but was probably everything I needed as I step into 28. So in true Allyn fashion and in the spirit of a send off, here are 8 cliff notes from my journal over the last year - I nixed 20 to spare you the read.

Chronic does not equal crazy. It never has and it never will. It has a way of breaking you down, carving away what no longer serves you and highlighting your gifts. It’s a crazy ride but it doesn’t mean you’re crazy.⁣

If you feel it, say it. You have to release in order to receive.

Your mind is a living magnet. What you think about you attract.

There aren’t victims, only volunteers. To what degree are you staying in a situation, willingly consenting to the stress and allowing the tension in your life? Set boundaries or walk away, you don’t need to voluntarily be in a situation. You have the power to control the narrative.⁣

People can love you with their feelings and not know how to love you with their actions. Sucks, I know but this is key!⁣

Your mental health always comes first. Period, end of story.⁣

Someone’s lack of reciprocating is not a challenge to show them your worth. You’re always enough. Tattoo it on if you need to (sorry mom).⁣

Being a work in progress and a dang masterpiece are not mutually exclusive events. You can and will be both. It’s fine, you’re fine.⁣
