This past week has been pretty busy. My wife had surgery to get her tonsils removed on Tuesday and she has been at home with me healing since then. Some of her friends got her some flowers that the cats decided that they would snack on when we weren't around, so I wanted to get some shots of them before they are destroyed by the cats.

So far the recovery from her surgery has been pretty good. She has been resting a lot and having mostly liquids because she is not able to eat any solid foods yet. We were pretty worried that the recovery would be really bad because we have heard some horror stories from people about how bad the pain will be. But luckily my wife's body hasn't been in much pain at all and she really hasn't had any of the pain medications she has been prescribed.

My wife is ready to get back to working out with our Tonal and I think she is getting a bit antsy at home. We have been trying to get out of the house to go on walks just to get some fresh air, but the weather today wasn't that great, so we have been stuck inside most of the day. Hopefully the next couple days are as good as the previous ones because after about a week, she should be past any of the hard stuff and then she can get back to being a bit more active and start eating some real food.

Took some time to read the comments on here today on my lunch break. I was incredibly lucky and had a fairly easy recovery. Days 0-5 were totally fine, no pain really. It was weird. The next 6-8 we’re pretty darn awful. But, I made it through. My pain never got over my extreme pain threshold, for that I am grateful. It came close, but not quite. My hubby did a lovely job ensuring I was safe and doing well. I forgot I had a weird moment of my blood pressure or something dipping (likely my blood sugar due to barely eating a thing for days) but Wes is a trooper and helped me the best he could! The tonsillectomy was successful and now I am just hoping I don’t get sick anymore!! Thank you all for your well wishes!!

Those pictures of the flowers are stunning! Your wife sounds like a soldier, I'm sure she will be back to normal in no time. I had my tonsils removed too, but I was a kid. Also, she should probably not work out, gotta give the body time to heal, so she should get a lot of rest and drink a lot of fluids, and consume some liquid calories in whatever form frequently.

My wife is awesome. She is doing so good with her recovery after this. I was a kid when I had mine removed and I dont remember it at all. She isn't doing any hard workout and she is monitoring her heart rate to make sure it doesnt get too high. She has mainly been doing stretching and mobility workouts just so her muscles can stay loose.

Wishing your wife a swift recovery. The shots of the flowers would certainly make me feel a whole lot better, much less actually receiving them!

Thank you. She is doing awesome and went back into the office today.

Hope she feels better asap! Glad to hear everything went well. I'm sure even though she isn't feeling her best... having some downtime with you has been nice.
Damn those cats... those flowers are quite lovely! ahhaha
