It has been about two years since I went fishing with my son. He is a really great fisherman and loves to go fly fishing. I got a reminder about these two fishing photos on Facebook today and I think that was one of the last times that I went fishing with him.
I had just got him a new fly fishing pole and he was showing me his casting skills. I have no idea how to fly fish, but it would be cool to learn one day. We were up in Provo Canyon for these pictures. I don't think it will look the same now because of the lack of rain and snow we have had the past couple years, so it might be pretty low.
Titus normally doesn't like to snuggle up to any of the other animals, but he cuddled with Sophie for a while today and I thought it was pretty cute. They snuggled for about 20 minutes until Titus got too hot and jumped down.
Hopefully this summer isn't too hot for us so that we can get out and go fishing a bit. Titus has been shedding like crazy for the past week or so, so hopefully he doesn't get too hot this summer either.

I love to fly fish, it was one of the few thing my father ever taught me and I try to go as often as possible. That is a beautiful river.
Up until I moved to my current location, I had only fly fished in the blackwater tidal rivers of the SE, but once I moved up here, I was able to drive a couple of hours north a try "real" fly fishing in trout streams. Much, much harder than back home...lololol
Also, I know you are a Vet and if you haven't already, you should check out the app Expert Voice. It gives military, law enforcement, first responders, outdoorsmen, etc pretty significant discounts of tons of products and brands. I bought an Okuma rod and reel from there about 60% off. Not all the deals are worth it though so I would still shop around. I bought my CampChef smoker from there as well. It is similar to govx, if you're familiar with them.
I think it would be really cool to learn fly fishing. There are a lot of spots up the canyons that people go here and do really well.
I will have to look into that app. It sounds pretty cool.
The times I have gone fishing have been quite calm, a bit boring, but quite cool and peaceful. Mind you, I have never caught even a small sardine in my whole life, even for real life stuff I'm a noob, I guess fishing is a thing for professional boomers. I hope you get to fish soon and catch a kraken.
I suck at fishing too.
My house near the River, so I really like to fishing.
That would be so cool. My dream is to own some land near the water so we can go kayaking, swimming and fishing.
I hope to go fishing one day so please take ma along with you when you when next you go fishing. I have a very amazing relationship with fish and sea food generally. 😇
Maybe your son could show me some skills...I'd be happy to learn.
What an enchanted place!
It really is a cool place
It looks like an anime world! Haven't tried fishing before, but I've watched my father and his friends from afar.
Wow The scenery at the fishing grounds is really very beautiful to look at. I feel like going there too.
Have never been fly fishing, but I've done other type of fishing. Just went yesterday for some trout and caught one. But what I love is fishing for bass. Where I live when they start running all you've gotta do is drop your line over the side of the wharf and you'll get one. They put up a hell of a fight but are fun as hell to reel in. In August the wharf becomes a meet up place, and everyone shares their catches.
