Investing in my uncertain future | Invirtiendo en mi incierto futuro [ENG/ESP]

👌 How are you guys, today I was advising a friend of mine about obtaining a driver's license as a life goal that can give him another way to support his family and perhaps this advice here on the web will also help him3.

Why did I invest? 😶
I come from a very poor family, but since I was little I have always set long-term goals to break that curse. Among those goals, driving was one of the things to cross off on my list of achievements and opportunities. 😋 After finishing university and starting to work in the state business sector, my position as a computer specialist came with a bonus, and that bonus was transportation, in this case a motorcycle.

The first investment
🤔 The company did not pay for the course, so I had to pay everything out of my pocket, at first it was annoying, because it was around 85% of my salary for 2 months, but believe me, that investment was worth it. 🙂

🏍 I got my A (Motorcycle) license and rode for 4 years on a Jawa 360 motorcycle that had a beast of an engine, the maintenance was my responsibility, the company did not invest in it, but I could take it home and do it with whatever she wanted, ahhh, those beach times were the maximum at more than 140 km/h.

The mentality 😎
When I changed companies and as the years went by, I thought about how I lived, so I made an effort to obtain a car license, at first a friend of mine helped me with a modern car 🚗 which was great, but the situation in the country changed. It was in worse conditions and there was not even fuel, so the courses cost a fortune. Those situations did not stop me, so I decided to invest in myself again and save money with my pregnant wife and even managed to find a teacher who offered classes in a very old Fiat 🚘 (Here they call it porqui, to sound like pigs), they would be among the classic Cuban cars that are barely maintained.

A successful investment 😁
Happily, the investment was worth it, I managed to obtain the license on the 2nd opportunity, in the rain, super nervous with the instructor next to me giving instructions, but I passed the category B for car without any major problems... (My car shut down twice because I hadn't touched it for a week, it was crazy, the instructor had mercy.) 😝

Today I drive an electric motorcycle 🛵, I have not touched a car again since no one lends you the car if you need to go somewhere (I understand, a car is like a woman, it does not lend itself), but I already have a driving license , when I get to another place, or when life smiles at me more fortunately 😛, I will have the license ready to drive.

😤 The advantage of transportation here in Cuba, believe me, it is very important, the service is so bad that you can spend 4 hours waiting for something to be able to go from one place to another, plus the prices of the private transportation service are nothing cheap.

🙏 Blessings and I hope this advice from a simple Cuban mortal is useful to you, do not wait for someone or a company to invest in you, take the first step and improve yourself, I never thought I would really drive a motorcycle in this life or touch a car and here I am, I haven't gotten on public transportation for more than 5 years. 👌 Que tal van chicos, hoy estaba aconsejando a un amigo mío sobre obtener licencia de conducir como una meta de vida que puede brindarle otra vía para mantener a su familia y pues quizás también le sirva este consejillo por aquí en la web3.

¿Porque invertí? 😶
Vengo de una familia muy pobre, pero desde pequeño siempre me he trazado objetivos a largo plazo para romper con esa maldición, entre esas metas, manejar era una de las cosas a tachar en mi listado de logros y oportunidades. 😋 Luego de terminar la universidad y comenzar a trabajar en el sector empresarial estatal, mi plaza como especialista de informática traía un bono, y ese bono era un transporte, en este caso una moto.

La primera inversión
🤔 La empresa no pagaba el curso, así que tuve que pagarlo todo de mi bolsillo, en un primer momento fue molesto, porque fue alrededor de un 85% de mi salario durante 2 meses, pero créanme, esa inversión valió la pena. 🙂

🏍 Saque la licencia A (Moto) y anduve durante 4 años en una moto Jawa 360 que tenía una bestia de motor, el mantenimiento corría por mi igual, la empresa no invertía en ella, pero me la podía llevar a la casa y hacer con ella lo que quisiera, ahhh, esos tiempos de playa fueron lo máximo a más de 140 Km/h.

La mentalidad 😎
Al cambiar de empresa y al pasar de los años, pensaba como vivía, por lo que me esforcé para obtener la licencia de carro, al principio un amigo mío me ayudo en un carro moderno 🚗 que era la leche, pero la situación del país se puso en peores condiciones y ni siquiera había combustible, por lo que los cursos costaban una fortuna. Esas situaciones no me detuvieron, así que decidí invertir nuevamente en mí y guarde plata con mi esposa embarazada incluso y logre buscar un profesor que ofrecía las clases en un Fiat viejísimo 🚘 (Aquí le dicen porqui, por sonar como los cerdos), entrarían entre los autos clásicos cubanos que se mantienen a duras penas.

Una inversión de éxito 😁
Felizmente la inversión valió la pena, logre obtener la licencia en la 2da oportunidad, bajo lluvia, super nervioso con el instructor al lado dando indicaciones, pero aprobé sin mayores problemas la categoría B para auto... (El carro se me apago 2 veces porque hacia una semana que no lo tocaba, fue una locura, el instructor tuvo misericordia.) 😝

Hoy manejo una moto eléctrica 🛵, no he tocado un carro nuevamente ya que nadie te presta el carro si hace falta ir para algún lugar (lo entiendo, un carro es como una mujer, no se presta), pero ya tengo la licencia de conducción, ya cuando llegue a otro lugar, o cuando la vida me sonría con mayor fortuna 😛, tendré la licencia lista para manejar.

😤 La ventaja de un transporte aquí en cuba, créanme que es muy importante, el servicio esta tan malo que puedes estar 4 horas esperando algo para poder ir de un lugar a otro, además de que los precios del servicio de transporte privado no es nada barato.

🙏 Bendiciones y espero que les sirva este consejo de un simple mortal cubano, no esperen a que alguien o una empresa invierta en ustedes, den el primer paso y supérense, yo nunca pensé manejar moto de veras en esta vida o tocar un carro y aquí estoy, no subo a un transporte publico hace más de 5 años. Es cierto que no es mío, pero lo disfruto. 😝😍
