Taro - lotus seeds - carrots - pig's tail are the nutritious ingredients that make up this delicious and healthy soup. The creamy and smooth texture of taro with the fleshy taste of lotus seeds and crispy pork tail makes for a wonderful dish. In this recipe you can use fresh or dried lotus seeds, just remove the green sprouts in the seeds to remove the bitterness.

Cut the pigtail into bite-sized pieces, and blanch the pigtail in a pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes to remove impurities. After boiling for 5 minutes, take the pigtail out and rinse again with cold water. Plus, you will have a tastier, non-funky-pork-smelling soup. Bring to a boil and then let it simmer on the lowest heat for about 1 hour until the tail is very tender. Or you can use a pressure cooker to soften the tail, it only takes about 20 minutes.Đuôi heo chặt miếng vừa ăn, chần đuôi heo trong nồi nước sôi khoảng 5 phút để loại bỏ tạp chất. Sau khi luộc khoảng 5 phút, vớt đuôi heo ra và rửa lại với nước lạnh. Thêm vào đó, bạn sẽ có một món canh ngon hơn, không có mùi tanh của thịt lợn. Đun sôi rồi để lửa nhỏ nhất trong khoảng 1 giờ cho đến khi đuôi heo chín mềm. Hoặc bạn có thể dùng nồi áp suất để làm mềm, chỉ mất khoảng 20 phút.

Peel the taro, and soak taro in cold water for about 20 minutes. For large taro you need to cut them into pieces, (taro will absorb more flavor and cook faster). Marinate taro with salt and seasoning, and pepper for 15 minutes. Taro plant are mildly poisonous when raw, so when peeling taro you should use plastic gloves, avoid touching taro directly because it will make you itchy. Peel the carrots and cut them into flower-shaped cubes.Gọt vỏ khoai môn, ngâm khoai môn trong nước lạnh khoảng 20 phút. Đối với những củ khoai môn to bạn cần cắt chúng thành nhiều miếng, ( khoai môn sẽ ngấm nhiều hương vị hơn và nhanh chín hơn). Ướp khoai môn với chút muối và hạt nêm, tiêu trong 15 phút. Khi gọt khoai môn bạn nên dùng găng tay nilon vid nó có độc khi nó chưa được chế biến, tránh chạm trực tiếp vào khoai môn vì sẽ khiến bạn bị ngứa. Gọt vỏ cà rốt và cắt thành khối hình bông hoa.

Oh gosh! I think I haven't eaten a pig tails yet. Yeah, that's only the part I haven't tasted yet. But your recipe is easy to follow and affordable too. However, it's quite time-consuming since the tail should be boiled for a long time. Nice! Love this recipe.
