Not only that the older edition cards were more expensive, most of them are also weaker than the modern cards since all the new abilities were not present when they got released. For example you cannot counter a bloodlust card with a dispel ability or cure poison with a cleanse ability. In my opinion the bonus for using older cards should be even higher.
