RE: Splinterlands Recent News: WILD PASS Will Be Required Starting Next Season + My Next Upgrade Target

I also voted against the proposal for the exact same reasons you mentioned. This change is a slap in the face of every human wild player who spent lots of money on Alpha/Beta cards.
I bought almost all my wild cards just when the prices began to skyrocket a few years ago. Have bought cards for way over a hundred dollars that you can now buy for a few bugs.
Honestly I feel a bit betrayed. When SL introduced the bot-ban for the modern format it was said that it was just a temporary test to see if it really works to get rid of the bots that way and if so the wild format would follow. Now they use the wild format as some kind of trash bin for bots and players that use the old, formerly valuable cards. This is just sad.
Personally I bought my cards specifically for the wild format and only got the ones that suited my strategies. Except for two single cards that I use in brawls, I haven't yet bought any rebellion cards. Have already spent way more money on his game than I would ever spend on a non blockchain game. I had thought that the old cards would gain value over time as in all the offline trading card games but this is not the case. For that reason I have decided to not spend any more fiat money in SL. Even started to unstake my sps so I can sell it fast in case the whole economy goes haywire after this change.
