Since I started playing Splinterlands again, I haven't had many memorable battles. I'm still getting to know all the cards better and trying to develop new strategies while I try to climb the league. Currently, the highest league I've managed to reach is Diamond 2, which is a great progress for someone who's been away from the game for years. However, I'm playing in the Wild format, so even in the Diamond 2 league, the rewards aren't very attractive because I still have to pay the cost of the Battle Pass, card rentals, and SPS rentals. However, I can still earn a small amount of SPS per season and I can also increase my Soulbound collection by opening Loot Chests.
Another great benefit was that I was able to join a guild that fights in Tier 4 Brawls, so my SPS gain increases even more since I receive an average of 70 SPS per Brawl and I also have a gain of another 20% in ranked battles since my guild is at level 10 and its Lodge is also at level 10.
My current goal is to improve my skills so that I can climb to the Champion league, a league that I really wanted to reach in the past but that was a difficult dream to achieve since the game used to be extremely competitive and even reaching the Diamond league was difficult, but now I can reach it with "ease" because a good part of the players use low level cards in the Diamond league battles 3 and below.
By improving my skills I will be able to climb to even higher leagues, I will also be able to help my guild more in Brawls by winning more battles and lastly I will have the courage to participate in Tournaments that I had never participated in before, but first I want to have confidence in my skills to get a good position in the Tournaments.
For my memorable battle I will use the one in the image below.
See the Battle
This was a battle I had in Brawls, I chose a silver-level Fray since I was more used to this level of cards and it may not have been the most exciting battle in the story but I enjoyed watching it.
In this battle I selected the following cards:
Possibilus The Wise was the summoner I selected, he will increase the life of my cards by +2 and will grant them the Trample and Reach abilities.
In the first position I selected Baakjira, he is a monster that has no attack but is an excellent defense since he has the ability Heal that makes him heal 1/3 of his maximum life 1x per round and the ability Void that makes him receive only half magic damage.
In the second position I selected Diemonshark, he is a monster with a melee attack with a powerful attack and also with an excellent defense. Diemonshark will be able to attack in the second position since Possibilus The Wise granted him the ability Reach.
In the third position I selected Djinn Oshannus, he is a monster with a magical attack and will also be a great defense since he has a lot of life and the ability Void.
In the fourth position I selected Deeplurker, he is a monster with a magical attack and will be my main monster for attack since he has 5 attack and the ability Opportunity that makes him target my opponent's monster with the lowest life. Deeplurker also has the ability Poison that gives him a 50% chance to poison the monster he attacks and poisoned monsters receive 2 damage at the beginning of each round.
In fifth place I selected Igor Darkspear, he is a monster with a ranged attack and the reason I selected him was because of his Stun ability, with it Igor Darkspear will have a 50% chance of applying Stun to the monster he attacks and monsters with Stunned will be unable to attack or use any ability for 1 round.
In sixth place I selected Wave Brood, he is a monster with a ranged attack and his role is to be the target of my opponent's attacks since he has the Taunt ability, so my other monsters will be safe for a while. Wave Brood is also a great defense because he has a lot of life and the Void ability.
With this strategy I had no trouble beating my opponent but I was lucky that most of his monsters had magic attacks and half of my monsters had the Void ability, so my opponent was able to cause a lot of damage to my monsters and since I had excellent defenses he was easily defeated without defeating any of my monsters.
This was one of the best battles I've had in Brawls so far, but I know I still have a lot to learn and a lot of cards and strategies to use and that's what makes Splinterlands fun for me, as there are countless possibilities for me to test.
