If you have been playing the game like you should the update is not a big deal. You stack up more fans than needed. If the change will help increase the value of Starbits I'm all for it :)

Honestly, those who played as the game required and started long ago find themselves with many fans to add.
I am at level 116 and the musician career in the game only requires 3000 FANS and the next step (level 125 and County Festival Auditions mission) requires 4000 fans.
But I love Rising Star and have received many STARBITS so far and am happy to reinvest some of my earnings to add FANS that I will need to advance in the game.
I fully agree that this change will improve the future sustainability of Rising Star.
When I published this post I was at 8559 FANS now I have 29181 FANS and I am close to reaching my goal ;)
