Personally I don't know about the contest, but what I'll say is that, since the price of Hive is going up, you could set a form of stable prize for the contest. For example, first place will take 5$, second place will take 3$ and third place will take 1$
So even if Hive reachs 5$ you're converting back to the equivalent of 1$ which you can now pay out to the contest winners in HBD, since HBD is our homegrown stable coin
So setting a stipulated amount for the contest, means the price of Hive might not affect it, although the contest prize can be susceptible to change whenever you want to .
The idea is that with a 5$ HIVE for example, 100HIVE as a weekly reward might be too much to giveaway for a post.
That's the reason for the change to HBD at some point, we may fix it to say 50HBD, 25 for first, 15 for second and 10 for third place, that sounds fair.
Yes, I think it's fair. Stable prize means you just converted to HBD and sent out the rewards which a reward amount is already set.
