A friend of mine once said to me you get disappointed at your own will.
I was confused about that statement at first, how will I get disappointed at my own will? No one will want disappointment in his life as everyone wants things to work out good and right at all times.
How will you say such, I tried to explain to him but then he responded that's the problem.
You want things to work out in a positive direction always, that's where your disappointment lies you always expecting the best even from little things, you put in little effort and then wants an explosive result but ends up being sad as the end result did not come the way you expected it then you become disappointed, heartbroken and most times go into depression which is bad for your health.

So how do you balance this up? I asked him.
Always expect the worse to come up he replied.
Expecting the worst gives you a powerful edge over bad energy, you get things done with zero stress, you put in more effort but then your heart is already prepared for the worst, such that when it comes you only smile and then re-strategize on what next to and how best to do it.
But then if the result shows up positively then it's a win for you.
But everyone who does a thing expects it to come positively? I insisted.
Then be ready to always face disappointment and numerous heartbreak he said to me.
This guy has been in his best mood ever since I met him, could this be the secret behind his peace of mind? Like I have not seen him disturbed over things he just laughs and goes his way.
How do you write an exam and expect that you fail just so you don't go into depression. I have had a lot of thinking over this discussion but still couldn't figure it out.
You can do well to help me out in the comment section.
Is he saying the right thing?
Is it good that you expect worse things?
I think your friend is right, I am like this friend of yours, I put all my efforts in things and I always expect all outcomes.
