Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge with my blog on Sanctus Vicar for New Promo cards

Hello battlers,

It's been couple of years since I last posted a blog, but here I am with this response to the weekly community engagement challenge.

Frankly, the game has changed a lot and it's become hard to earn from splinterlands and I thought of starting blogging again in the hope that, I can earn some Hive to buy DEC required for the cost of Wild Pass just to keep the account active and that's how my journey of blogging starting again.

I would like to write about the newly introduced card of Sanctus Vicar as part of this week's theme of promo cards.

Sanctus Vicar is a dual splinter monster with water and fire being the 2 splinters it can be used with and this monster has a new ability of cleanse rearguard which cleanses the last monster available in our lineup and then the next One until all the monsters are cleansed.

At level 1 to 3, it will just have cleanse rearguard, but it will also get cleanse ability to cleanse the First monster in our lineup and by level 8, it gets the reflection shield, which helps it to not take any reflection attack like this being a ranged attack monster, it won't take the return fire if the ruleset is there in the battle in which it is used.

This monster is One of the most used monsters especially in poison battles and battles which involves any bad effect on the monsters.

We can use this in the middle or at the front of second line and keep cleansing the monsters from the end in our lineup.

In the battle, I used Water splinter monsters as the battle was with noxious fumes with all monsters poisoned and I felt the use of Sanctus Vicar will help to cleanse the second line monsters as much as possible and I also used another monster with cleanse first monster with my monster lineup as below.

Diemonshark:

The battle of poison lead me to use as this is One of my best monsters and can win battles for me. The armors, trample ability will make it a must use one.

River Nymph:

Just to remove the poison from First monster, this cleanse ability monster was helpful and it even though died in between, but it saved the Diemonshark.

Angelic Mandaarin:

The poison battle needs a monster which can heal the monsters from second line and angelic mandarin was useful to save some monsters from dying and this helped even Sanctus Vicar and River Nymph to not die.

Sanctus Vicar:

As I mentioned, this is one of the most used monsters now just because it has that new ability of cleanse rearguard and to test this, I used couple of more health magic monsters and this was able to cleanse both those and then cleansed itself.

Nerissa Tridawn:

This magic monster is with more health as it has 9 health and the battle of noxious fumes will make the monsters lose 2 health in each round, so, it was important to keep some of these alive till end to win the battle and this monster's health of 9 was useful to keep it alive with cleanse rearguard helped to remove the poison from it.

Flagulon Reine:

I used this bloodlust monster because of the poison and as this monster can get more health and attack with each monster dying from it's attack, it can stay alive for more rounds and it actually helped me to win the battle.

The battle saw that, opponent has used Quora Towershead and couple of martyr ability monsters and I was of the fear of I may lose this.

But, the cleanse and cleanse rearguard ability made the monsters stay alive while the opponent kept losing his monsters for the poison and in the end I won it because of this new promo card monster of Sanctus Vicar.

I would say, this will be used more and more where we see some bad effect is induced on the monsters we use and to cleanse those, Sanctus Vicar has to be there in our lineups.

As I couldn't afford the other monster which was part of the first promo card list, I just use this as my promo card monster and I already see this is useful and in the time comes, I will try to upgrade if I can save some money I earn from blogging.

Right now, this monster is too costly with around $17 per BCX and may get the price reduced in the days to come as many people will try to sell the extra cards they might have and that is when I should look to buy this and try to upgrade to atleast level 4.
