Hi Friends,
Source
When colonization happened long back, I think Britain and America were the Two countries who ruled many countries or territories around the world and during that time, they created laws based on that time and situation and some of the countries including my own country of India are still following the same rules although there are mulling of changes to the age old laws that were created (atleast in India as I know).
While the change in the old and unlawful (in present situation) laws needed to be changed according to the present situation, let's see some of the laws that looks strange/weird and still exists!!!!

To begin with, a law which was there until last year and changed by Government of India last year is the law of punishing the person who tried to commit suicide and as per the then law act of 309, any person who attempted suicide illegally and is survived from that suicide was subject to to be punished as if the survival from suicide itself is bad.
Another law which is about the legal drinking age in India is something to think off.
The legal age for drinking in Goa seems to be 18 as Goa is famous for the native produced drinks and the same law in Delhi says the person should be 25 years of age to start drinking (not sure whether people follow this though in Delhi).kite seems to be part of Indian aircraft law of 1934 which is about having a valid permit and since kite is also considered as an aircraft, seems like we need to have permit to do so!!!!
One more which is an absurd one is to have good teeth to become a motor vehicle inspector and this in an Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. I mean what is the relation between an inspector job that too a motor vehicle inspector and the teeth, total weird thing, right?
There is one 1949 law in India which says, the residents of Delhi need to answer the drum beats on the street which is related to driving out the pest and if people fails to answer, they will have to serve 10 year imprisonment.
I am gonna share this last one, but more hilarious law made by the then law minister Kapil Sibal in 2013, which urged all social media websites to remove all offensive and provocative images from the social media sites and it is mentioned that, if the social media sites fails to do so, the Government will take action itself and this was to with an effort to curb rape culture, but this is against the democracy, but it's act and to be followed.

Those are some of the unacceptable kind of laws we have in India and I am sure, there will be many such created by most of the countries if not all due to our so called law makers, the great politicians will think of something and create it as a law although they are qualified enough to do so or is not clear.
While India has recently swept over the Indian Penal Code created by Britsh to change it to Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita which is the new criminal code and replaced the Indian Penal Code is now in in place and has updated many such absurd laws and hopefully, some of the points I mentioned above are having an updated if not completely changed.
Like I mentioned, the political parties takes it as a pride matter to change the laws as they want and doesn't like what the other political party has amended when they were in rule.
As long as this kind of mentality stays, we will keep on seeing such absurd laws.

I couldn't hold the laughter 😂. Like all the laws are weird. But I like that of punishing an attempted suicide survivor. It will teach people to behave and not try taking away the life they didn't create
Yeah, full comedy like situation, but as someone say better late than never, I think there was an update last year and the new Government here in India has corrected that.
Thanks, have a good day :)
