The wind greatly amplifies the brutal and destructive force of the flames, all the power of the firefighters, local police and volunteers is not enough to stop the destruction in progress.

I try to imagine what it must mean to be there standing there watching your home burn, helpless... Or those poor desperate people who are imprisoned by the flames and have no way out. Burning alive is among the most atrocious deaths there is. I am terribly sorry for all those who find themselves in this shitty situation. My thoughts go out to all the families who have lost someone, or who have abandoned their burned homes. It is so sad all this.

È davvero orribile quello che sta accadendo in questi giorni nei territori americani colpiti dai vasti incendi che stanno distruggendo tutto: boschi, case, edifici. Io provo ad immaginare cosa possa significare essere lì fermi ad osservare la propria casa bruciare, impotenti... Oppure quei poveri disperati che sono imprigionati dalle fiamme e non hanno via di scampo. Bruciare vivi è tra le morti più atroci che ci sia. Mi dispiace terribilmente per tutti coloro che si trovano in questa situazione di merda.
