Con l'arrivo della bella stagione l'istinto di predatore di gatti si risveglia e li sorprenderemo spesso mentre osservano con grande interesse il movimento di insetti e uccellini fuori dalle finestre.
Ma il pericolo è dietro l'angolo e gli animali che vivono in appartamento e hanno a disposizione balconi e terrazze possono precipitare nel vuoto da un momento all'altro e se è vero che anche i cani sono in grado di mettersi in pericolo, il rischio più alto lo corrono senza dubbio i gatti che per natura sono dotati di una straordinaria agilità e hanno la capacità sorprendente di fare dei balzi inaspettati in altezza anche partendo da una posizione statica.
Cosa fare allora per permettere ai nostri amici di casa di godersi all'aria aperta senza mettersi in pericolo?? una soluzione potrebbe essere la messa in sicurezza del balcone in modo da poter stare tranquilli anche quando si lasciano porte e finestre aperte.
Molto dipende dal gatto e dalle sue abitudini, ci sono animali estremamente agili e sempre molto carichi in continuo movimento e ci sono anche gatti tranquilli perfino un po' imbranati e sono quelli che riuscirebbero a cadere anche da una sedia o da un mobile.
Se l'istinto li spinge comunque ad avventurarsi anche in luoghi più alti la la loro reazione potrebbe essere inaspettata ritrovandosi in bilico con sotto uno spazio vuoto, il panico potrebbe causare la perdita immediata dell'equilibrio e quindi la caduta.
Migliorare la sicurezza del balcone diventa quindi una soluzione perfetta, per ritrovare la serenità, quindi è il caso a volte di intervenire sistemando una rete che vada oltre il parapetto e le ringhiere impedendo così ai gatti di saltare sulla cima o nei vasi da fiori, è importantissimo ovviamente utilizzare un materiale di ottima qualità ad esempio io mi servo di reti morbide fatte da fili di nylon intrecciati tra loro al cui interno c'è un piccolo filo metallico che serve solo a dare robustezza alla struttura, una protezione accurata così evita ai mici di precipitare.

Improving the safety of the balcony therefore becomes a perfect solution, to find serenity, so it is sometimes necessary to intervene by arranging a net that goes beyond the parapet and railings thus preventing cats from jumping on the top or in the flowerpots, it is obviously very important to use a material of excellent quality for example I use soft nets made of nylon threads intertwined with each other inside which there is a small metal thread that only serves to give strength to the structure, an accurate protection thus avoids cats to fall.

Proprio oggi mentre andavo in università con un mio amico ci siamo accorti di questo enorme gatto che stava in equilibrio quasi sui fili dove si stendono i panni su di un balcone...siamo rimasti basiti ahah
