Cryptocurrency app/site review

Happy Wednesday everyone

The app/site I'm talking about is CoinGecko. It tracks over 13000 cryptocurrencies, you can use it to check the value of your favorite assets, their 24h volume, the market cap and many more.

You can check additional information on each separate coin or token, like all the price charts, all-time-high date and time and value, the markets or exchanges where the coin/token can be traded, information about the crypto project itself and its developers, etc.

The thing that I use it for the most is to track the value of my own crypto portfolio. When I learned about this feature I started using it immediately. You see I was holding my cryptocurrencies on many different exchanges, like Binance, Kucoin, Crypto.com, Coinbase, the list goes on. And the wallets like Metamask and TrustWallet. And each day when I wanted to check the value of my portfolio I had to open each app separately and view the values, then calculate the $ amount. It took way too long and often I did it many times a day.

The CoinGecko enables you to input the amount of crypto you are holding on your exchanges or wallets and it calculates the value of all you crypto combined. You can make as many portfolios as you wish. One for Coinbase holdings, one for Binance holdings, one for Kucoin etc. And you can check the value of each portfolio individually or you can check the combined value of all your portfolios simply by opening CoinGecko app on your phone, or the website on your computer. You can also make a wishlist portfolio and add in cryptocurrencies you wish to buy in the future or explore them in more detail, the wishlist helps you keep track.

I haven't used this application to its full extent and I know it offers a lot more than what I just wrote about but even so far this has been an amazing time and nerve saver for me. I hope some of you may find it useful as well.
