Saludos amigos amantes de los pétalos y flores. Continúo con flores de lirio. En esta oportunidad traje un hermoso Lirio Blanco que floreció en una ventana de la casa. Mentiría si digo que las cultivo, realmente lo hace mi abuelita a quien yo ayudo de vez en cuando. Pueden ver su hermoso color blanco con ligeros matices azules y violetas. Son 6 pétalos en cuyo centro aparecen tres lenguas velludas de color amarillo que son los estambres.

Wikipedia le asigna el nombre científico de Iris albicans.[1,2,3] Que tiende a ser utilizada por la industria del perfume, pues su raíz de tipo rizoma contiene aceites muy apreciados con olor a violeta y a vainilla, mismos que se emplean como base para muchos perfumes.
These plants belong to the genus IRIS, family Iridaceae. This particular variety is called Florentine Lily for having been baptized in Florence where there were many in its time. Wikipedia assigns it the scientific name of Iris albicans.[1,2,3] Which tends to be used by the perfume industry, since its rhizome-type root contains highly appreciated oils with a violet and vanilla scent, which are used as base for many perfumes.
