The importance of recognition

Good day to everone here at lifescape tribe! I want to share with you one thing I realized today as a parent.

Today, I and my husband attended the commencement wxercise and moving up ceremony for Grade 10 and Grade 12. The first part oft he program is the moving up ceremony for Grade 10. Since part of the program is recognition of academic excellence award for lower grade, my husband was the one to cater our first born daughter that is in Grade 10 while I will be catering our second born child which is in Grade 8.

The part wherein the academic excellence award and special awards has been announce, my husband really feel nervous and shaking while putting the five medals to her daughter. I really see how happy he is. Also my second daughter received with honors award and we are so very happy despite of the challenges and circumstances we are facing, still our daughters stay focused, intentional and generous in giving time and talent in their studies.

I was also recognized as one of the stakeholder of the school, not a donor but through sharing my skills in making the projects, programs and activities possible. I keep volunteering in making documents, sourcing out funds for a certain peojects and creating collaboration and unity within the school and the the whole community.

I realized, that giving recognition and appreciation awards even in a simple way of helping the school is important. It is not to brag but to inspire other community stakeholders to ne part in developing and creating a child friendly school environment. I see different attitude, character and mindset of some parents
Some say, we have different mind set and stage of life. Some want to help, some just good in telling stories, some are just good in commenting, giving sweet words but do not want to help and give time.
Since, my advocacy is to promote unity througj connection, cooperation and collaboration, so I volunteered to do documents and necessary promotional strategies to encourage the whole community. And we proved that, a lot of people are willing and generous to invest their time, effort and money.
I was not expecting that the school hive recognition to us and it really inspire me and ignite my desire to help for the betteent of our school and the whole
community. So, grateful to God that He mold me to be an active community member in establishing resilient community.

I hope and pray that many more parents and community stakeholders desire to help and volunteer theirselves.
Fo my two daughter and all the moving up learners and graduates batch 2024, I hope and pray that through grace and mercy of our dear God they will finish their college and able to attain their goals and make their dream to reality.
