The value of friendships, financial literacy, and skill development: lessons I wish I had learned in high school

High school is one of the most fun and exciting moments of our growing load of different experiences. It's a very significant period of our lives that, if spent well and wisely, would help shape our future in the right direction as we grow up. Unfortunately, not all of us were privileged to learn these lessons during that period, and today I'll love to talk about something I wish I knew or learned when I was still in high school.

Valuing and surrounding myself with great circles of friends: while growing up, especially in high school, I'm more secluded and reserved, which means I hardly interact with others, and this was down to my introvertion traits. But if I were to be privileged to go back in time, I wish I took friendship and surrounding myself with intelligent friends seriously, because we don't know what the future holds, and having a strong relationship with someone before they excel is the best way to groom oneself going forward.

The importance of the right circle cannot be overemphasized in a man's life because such a circle can go on to change one's life, help in times of trial and difficulty, and could even recommend you to their other successful friends, or better yet, share their wealth acquisition secret with you, so you can also take the same steps and amount to something meaningful in life.

Financial literacy and investment principles: these are some core aspects that I wish I had learned when I was in high school. Having strong financial knowledge and background from a tender age helps one to understand the game and be able to grab any opportunities that show up with both hands. For high school students without such knowledge, different opportunities will pass by, but then you're fortunate to be financially inclined; your orientation will change, and that will groom a successful future.

Acquiring skills in entrepreneurship and skill development: Skills development is one of the core ways to excel in my country, given the fact that there are limited job opportunities for the multitude of graduates we've got, and those who have skills to back up their education tend to excel more than graduates. In order to position myself for greatness, I really wish I had learned skills during my high school days. I actually wanted to learn, and my dad went against my decision, but had I known how valuable it'd be, I would have stood my ground and promised my dad to still focus on my academics if only he had allowed me to learn back then.

The same goes for entrepreneurs skills, which is one of the best ways to promote their businesses and skills. Acquiring such knowledge at a tender age will help position me to be available to grab opportunities and also integrate my business where it'll be valued. It'll also help me to prioritize investing my time, money, and energy in something that meets the needs of the people.

That's about all I wish I had learned during my high school days. I hope you find this valuable. Have a wonderful day, and stay blessed.

Human never stop learning until death.there are some regret that will come if you don't utilize learning opportunity

All the points you mentioned are very necessary in life and I also feel it is good to learn those from school time. But I think many parents don't want to teach lessons about the second point means financial literacy and investment principles and it's still a controversial topic among parents.

Hmm I wonder why PARENT don't want to share that knowledge, it's vital for growth and should be priotised.
