For the past 2 weeks, my family and I have been on a road trip to Wisconsin and back. We did not take the interstates as we usually do - mainly because I did not feel like dealing with traffic. LOL
So, we took the longer, more scenic route through the Florida panhandle, into Alabama, Louisiana, Missouri, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Most of the trip was mostly uneventful, except for the one day that we got caught in a major storm while driving through the Ozarks not far from Branson, MO. It got so bad that I could hardly see over the hood of the car, and there were tornado warnings coming from my phone. The rain was being blown sideways across the road and we were all praying that there would be no fallen (or falling) trees.
But, we survived :).
The most depressing part of the trip (other than leaving) was seeing the disparity between peoples in this country. Whole towns gone - mansions next to run down shacks. This country needs to do something different. We are such a rich country but our people are starving. Sad 🙁.

There would have been more pics, but I'm the one who usually does the photography - and I was driving. So, these are (some of) the ones that we got.
