yes it has been a while since my last post , bad weather can do that to a photographer .
First we had a hughe draught and then we had a month of rain , the garden started to look like a mess and i decided to plant things that can keep up with these conditions and improve the condition for the rest of the plants in the garden.
So i purchased some bamboo the " Fargesia scabrida 'Asian Wonder' "
they are the non spreading kind and i also orderd the " Imperata cylindrica 'Red Baron' "
i think the grass will compliment the colours of the Cornus alba that i already have in my garden and the also newly bought Pyracantha coccinea 'Red Column' another shrub that will stay green during the winter, and wwill produce berries for the birds so that there will be more wildlife in the garden.
The bamboo plants are still young so they will need to grow over the years and will provide extra protection for the other plants in the garden against heat.
and other weather elements , plus they will remain green during the winter months so thats also a bonus .
That is all about the garden for now , more about myself , after 15 years of being sick at home due to a " burn-out " i started 3 weeks ago to work again in a local computer repair shop , it's only for 4 hours a week but i have to start somewhere to get my self moving forward again.
The work is easy for me since i've been building computers since +/- 1989 ?
and the basics haven't changed that much over the years.
I still build my own pc or upgrade when needed , i still experiment with software and network at home , the downside is not having any peace of paper to show for that i have the knowledge never went to school for it , the only school diploma i actualy have is from gardening school back in +/- 1982 ?
But it's nice to work again in a small family business and i hope this will be my wway back to be able to work again for +/- 3 days a week , i don't want to work more than that again because i know how it will demolish my health again .
So while the cat was sleeping i went in to the garden with the camera to make some pictures again.

Hey it's nice to see you again 😊 hope so your garden look fine after rain and draughts. Your photography is beautiful as always 🙂
i'm still here every day just not always posting 😉
Ohhh it's ok too 😹
Good to see some photos and I love that you keep a good work/life balance! Health is Nr.1 for sure.
yeah that balance is something i found out the hardway .. and i really don't want to go back down that road again 😉
Love the bamboo. It will be a great addition to your garden.
Fun to have your foot in the door at a computer job doing things you are good at.
I'm always happy to see new photos from you!
yeah the bamboo wwas something i had on my mind for a long time , and this variety also bring some colour to the garden. The computer store is really nice to be , i used to manage 199 computer stores here in Holland back in 1998 so i know my way around .
Its good to know there are non invasive bamboos. I have never paid much arrention to them.
You have a lot of skills to offer!
You really were out early to catch the dew on the Rose. Lovely pics. You sound so much like me with the hail/rain/bugs etc. yet it is compelling to continue and forge ahead trying to save the plants from the planets natural predators.
i try not to intervene with insects and let nature handle it , if a plant dies in my garden it shouldn't be there

It has been a strange summer indeed.
Nice flower shots.
I've also spotted a lot of fire/shield/stink bugs lately. Very willing subjects to photograph. I've posted a cool black and red-striped pyjama bug in one of my recent posts.
The pictures were so satisfying. It really makes my day!!!
Yay! 🤗
