Cleansed es adjectivo, como "cleansed of all sins." lol
Cleaned is a verb: I cleaned that dirty cup you left outside for three days.

BUT, there are also cleansers, which are cleaning solutions, just to make it more confusing. I think you can say I cleansed that dirty cup and it wouldn't be incorrect, but nobody I know talks that way.
