Increase and suspense

in TradFi4 days ago

After several years, the issue of wage increases is coming to the fore in a country that is still adjusting to certain changes that go beyond the economy itself. Sudden changes and adjustments in the prices of many products have also generated a degree of uncertainty among many people who do not know whether to wait for everything to stabilize or to take advantage before the situation changes again. Obviously, people cannot stop buying and producing, so the factors of time and risk seem to go hand in hand.

What can we expect? For many years, salary increases have been eagerly anticipated by everyone, with expectations that sometimes quickly fade away, as a thorough financial analysis shows that they do not provide a real solution, let alone suggest that there will be a significant improvement. In my opinion, this continues to be a fundamental problem that simply increases in numbers and figures, a fact that has led some to greater concern due to everything that is automatically generated after the announcement of a salary increase.

For some time, it was thought that there would be an increase because some improvement should be reflected in the economy, but the reality is that this tends to disappear quickly. This has also led to the option of certain bonuses aimed at a specific group in order to boost the economy, but it does not achieve the effect of confidence that many want to feel when it comes to earning and providing through our work and its profits. It is a strange feeling to see how the increase does not become a clearly positive symbol but rather fuels more doubts and uncertainty among those who are waiting for this benefit.

Without being very knowledgeable on the subject, merchants and workers envision the post-increase scenario: "If wages increase, prices increase," and that seems to be already included as part of the announcement. Then the adjustment process becomes a bit complex, and depending on the circumstances, you end up receiving more to spend more, and perhaps that is why I understand that news like this causes many people more concern than they might have at present. That is how, from my point of view, a wage increase in progress becomes like a suspenseful cliffhanger.

Now comes the process of cause and effect, where expectations continue to point toward a positive future. Even with considerable optimism, the reality of a wage increase is something that will take shape over the coming days. Everything that can be managed through this process must always be aimed at benefiting workers and merchants, and even with the first signs of this year, everything that has happened at least gives an indication of the search for and interest in dealing with an issue that is quite interesting and unique because it involves us all by extension.

Wage increase here in our country, Philippines, always comes late vs. the prices of everything that are consumables. And why they increase the salary? its just because masses are already angry. Most of the politician holding the budget position here always focus on how to maintain the government profit and wait for people strikes before they will listen to their difficulties. This is actually not a rant. Just my observation based on what they show on our local news.

Given the actual effect of these adjustments, everything seems to be a measure that always comes too late and does not inspire confidence or provide a solution.

No solution at all. They just balance mostly everything. When there is a price gap between market and salary, they just balance it thru increament.

Politicians are always a thorn in the side of any society.

Damn it!

Nowadays probably. But without these elected guys, government will be much more on chaos. I just dont know about the monarchy, but holding power must be handled by straight people. I just don't know if there are still like this.

I don't disagree that there have been significant advances in politics over the decades, but the system remains as corrupt as ever (the rules have only been "reshaped").

This situation is very complex, my friend; it's difficult to foresee a solution in the short term. I think there are many factors that need to be addressed. It's a huge challenge.
Those in charge of this have a great challenge ahead of them.

Obviously, this is not something that can be fixed overnight, and beyond simply wanting to do something, there must be a better approach that will yield more lasting benefits.

It always has been, is, and always will be complex. It's a cycle that's virtually impossible to break completely.

Uncertainty is not good for a healthy economy. We continue to hope and have faith that the decisions made regarding the economy will be the best and most prudent. Greetings to my friend.
Thank you for this contribution

That is what we all want: to have a strategy that allows us to sustain ourselves under an economic system that generates more confidence and less fear 👍

The market (investors, to be honest) likes stability, and that's very difficult to find and especially to maintain with so bad news around the world.

Living and investing in Venezuela is so complicated; everything is so unstable. The lady who sells food at my school cafeteria raised the price of arepas and juice again.

And he told us the same thing as you in the post...hehe I understood because I'm on Tradfi🥴

The only thing missing was interviewing the lady who works in the cafeteria 🫣, and that trend will continue for the next few weeks, so what we have to do, as always, is wait and adjust to whatever comes our way 😊.

That's a very worrisome situation. Brazil is kinda bad, but I know some countries are in a worst situation than here.

All the best for your people.

Yes, it's complicated.

Very much.

Sadly.

Here in India very soon union budget 2026 is going to be presented. Lets see what we have in here for the middle class..though the expecations are very high this time from the government. Cheers

Let's hope that these expectations are as high as they are achievable, especially given the current economic climate 👍 Cheers!

Hoping for a good scenario, despite all the negative things.

In Brazil, the this kind situation has been bad for years.

No hopes for a better future. I mean, a very good one. We only live with the illusion of a better country (economically speaking).

And many hoping that this dream will come true 👍

One day.

Who knows, right?
