Hello guys, Happy Sunday to all of you!

Origin is coming this April 7th and I know most of you are excited. It was suppose to be launched on March 31st but due to the hacking incident it was postponed for a week. Like always there are many rumors and conspiracies circulating regarding the incident. Sky Mavis promising reimbursement is a positive development, at the least they have shown commitment to those people who lost their funds. 620 million dollars is alot of money I do hope that it will never happen again to anyone.

I've seen the new cards for origin and I was intrigued. The values like attack and defense are lowered , most by 40-50%. Many card descriptions are completely different from what we are playing today. The new gameplay seems to be vague for now. Certainly with new elements, origins dynamics will be quite complicated. It's like learning a brand new game. It's not just upgrading the graphics of the old one. It will take time but I do hope that our line up would still fare well after the origin launch.

Anyways, below are some of our battles for today. After along chitchat about the current events I do hope you enjoy. Pardon me because I forgot to turn on the sound and music setting.

Baiting Chomp Anemone

The enemy's tank is very classic Leaf Bug + Yam plant. It's a good tank for delaying and brick walling enemies but it got very little firepower. Most of the damage here would come from the midlane reptile. What we didn't want to happen is for their reptile to kill our mid aqua in one combo. It would be possible if they have 4 or more energy in their stack. Also, it should also be considered that their reptile still have lots of cards available.

We just sacrificed the plant in round 4 as we knew that already have the cards they need. It was not a bad thing since we got lots of defense cards in mid already. It was quite unexpected that they went for the back. The backline rep got stunned and their plant manage to last till round 6. Also it's health was down below 40% so it would be hard in a 1 v1 situation. Well if they took down our reptile it would be favorable for them but they wasted Thorny caterpillar in the plant earlier so it would difficult unless they got plenty of crit. It was still winnable for them if they went for the front door since their reptile was really a threat for our aqua.

After they taking down their reptile we stall the game as much as possible. Their anemone have great sustain and it's almost invincible against damage aquas and birds due to Chomp and that heal combo. In round 10 we bait them with an exhausted mid and they've got very little choice. They took it. We completed our for 4 card combo at the back. Without stun they took a 4 card combo with 2 amplified attacks courtesy of Tiny Dino. Even if they gone full defense they'd just trigger last stand, with blood moon curse we would still win the game. Of course it would be different if our backline got stunned at the beginning.

The Great Delay

We got a little early advantage in the first round. Although we failed to steal an energy the defense was successful as we got 2 free energy from our broken shield, thanks to double Carrot. Disablosaur teams might be painful to battle because of the 3 disable combo of their backlane. For us it was a bit different. The real weakness of our team here was the midlane bug. Although they don't have much firepower compared to beasts and mechs they are very good at delaying because they have well balanced attack and defense cards. Also they have two stun triggers, one is Snail Shell and the other one which you can see here is the tail card Fish Snack.

We got quite lucky that there was no crit. Our aqua managed to last till round 7. Like we've said we need bugs are very tanky especially when pitted against plants and reptile (and dusks). We got no option but to all out. Although we gained an energy from the last tail slap it was now a 1 v1 situation against their disablosaur.

At this point I knew that they got almost the same energy as us. I was not quite sure but I was certain it was either 3 or 4. Since we knew that disables were on the way we played our remaining mouth and horn cards. I often put Bone sail first when playing 1v1 against opponent with Chomp because it deal the least damage. A risk was made in round 9. I think that was the only option to win the game at that point in time. If we played all 3 energies the damage wouldn't be enough and for me there's no point in defending with just 2 cards at round 10 when there's blood moon curse active.

Since they got only 2 cards there was no way for them to do 2x Chomp + Kestrel or Hot But which was the only surefire way to eliminate us. They could gamble on crit with a single Chomp combo but the chances of triggering it was really low especially for a dusk. Although it was an arduous battle we manage to do a full card combo they went into last stand but with the curse active it was our win.
