Unfortunately I don't think I tried all the national dishes, usually the places we went we were served soups and roasted chicken. I think Romanian cuisine is much more! :)

Hominy, I loved. Almost the same as polenta in Italy and cachamak in Bulgaria :)

Yes, if we talk about Moldova, then the best cheese in the south, this is affected by the range of herbs that sheep eat and the traditions of cheese making, in the south of Moldova, Moldovan, Bulgarian and Turkish recipes are mixed together :)

Also, it's so funny how each country says a specific dish is theirs :D
For instance, the "moussaka". There are slight difference in the recipe but all Greeks, Bulgarians and Turks prepare it and then call it's "theirs". Probably that comes from the East :D

Yes, apparently many cultures are mixed in this dish, someone cooks moussaka, someone calls it vegetable stew, pide in Moldova, Italian lasagna, in fact, this is meat moussaka, if you add more vegetables :)
