Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to come back with a Brewery Monochrome Monday!
Monochrome Monday Brewery
Damn I can't believe it's another Monday already! Time is flying lately, it's wild!
One of the places that the little man and I went to recently was this brewery so I can pick up a case of beer. A lot of the breweries that I've been to kind of hide the different beer containers and all of the supplies to turn the raw ingredients into beer then package it up for sale and distribution to the various places that are interested in having it such as the restaurants, bars and other places.
It was cool to see it all! I know that we've all seen pictures and the various parts of how beer is made so it's not really that shocking or surprising but it looks cool to see it regardless! Lol.
What I also liked a lot about the place is it looked so clean! When you're buying something like beer from a place, you want to make sure that the place is clean and there isn't clutter and all kinds of junk all over the place. You never want to see stuff on the ground like trash and ingredients because then you know you'll see various rodents running around and feasting off the stuff lol
I think the pictures look pretty cool in black and white! It kind of reminds me of prohibition era for whatever reason lol. It feels dramatic, with all the giant vats and shining silvery colors that you know is for sure metal. It looks pretty interesting!
I was playing around with a different desaturate filter this time in GIMP and this one made the shadows a heck of a lot darker. Where I immediately noticed the difference in this one was in the wooden pallets there with the kegs ontop of it. When I desaturated the picture originally it looked pretty cool but the biggest change that I witnessed was the shadow under the pallet was far darker with this setting. I want to see what I can do with some other pictures that are a little bit closer up and see what this setting spits out for a change!
Eventually I'll start tweaking the settings a little bit and saving my own little preferences in GIMP! I've slowly made some progress in getting better with the application. I think it's a little intimidating at first but I've gotten used to it and quite enjoy it!
