There are worse ways to go out for an old man. Good reminder to check on bugout bags and caches from time to time. I remember a couple years ago finding all my cached coffee had been eaten by a bear, and while it was amusing to imagine the cranked out bear zipping along after eating 18 pounds of coffee, it was an expensive lesson. Cans alone aren't perfect seals and canned goods not only allow odors out, but potential rot in.
