This is a very interesting look at Christmas. And I'll be honest, I have a really hard time with it for most of the reasons you already stated.

It's a shame that Christ has taken a back seat in society, but alas, not unexpected.

    Well, Christ has always fought an uphill battle in society. But today, it seems he's fighting an uphill battle in his own church. :-(
