How to come back to God if you've been distant from him.
I have a acronym called R.I.S.S
Remember, Repent, Invite, and Surrender.
1.Remember: We have to remember that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us, meaning no matter how far we go, he will never abandon us, he will never reject us when we try to come back into his arms.
He does not hate you. Everything that he did in this world is because he loves you, and he's waiting for you to come back to him every opportunity that you get. Once you remember that, we need to repent.
2.Repent: Literally means to turn back to. You're turning back to Jesus, but you're also inevitably turning away from the wicked things that you were facing towards.
God says in the Bible, if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves to acknowledge that they were wrong, turn away from their wicked ways and seek my face, then will I hear them from heaven and I will heal them.
You have to make the conscious decision to say, God, the things that I've been doing on my way were wrong. Forgive me for the things that I decided to do in my own accord, the things that I decided to do that go against your word, and help me to live a life that honestly pleases you because I know you only want the best for me.
3.Invite: Now that we've repented now we're also inviting him back in because the holy spirit is a gentleman somebody could be at the doorstep for hours and years but until you invite them into your house they're not going to be inside.
God don't force his way in you got to say lord i want you to come into this i want you to come into my mind i want you to come into my heart i want you to lead me i want you to order my steps and when you make those conscious decisions to say that then he can begin to walk in and do some things.
4.Surrender: Number four, this is the hardest one you have to surrender.
Surrender literally means that even if you don't necessarily agree with what God is saying you, stop resisting his ability to be for you who he's always been.
Able God I surrender my money to you i may want to handle it this way but i trust that you're going to lead me in the way that is best for me i'm gonna go back to your word i'm gonna treat the people the way that you say they treat them in every aspect of your life
You have to say God I choose to live it in a way that honors you and not just what I want.

The most difficult thing to do is surrender your flesh to Him fully. I am guilty of those too.
The world tempted us with temporary things that we see in our naked eyes, but we can't help ourselves but to see the beauty of our God as we keep going after Him because of His great love for us.
