FORGIVEN AND FORGOTTEN

Hebrews 10:16-17

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

We live in a world where too many people struggle under the heavy weight of their past mistakes. When they look back at their failures and think their acts are beyond forgiveness. Most even believers are being caught up by this trap.

In the Bible text we just read, we are assured that our sins are not remembered by God. When God said this, he meant every bit of word he said, and you have to believe it.

The word "Remember" in Greek is mimnesko, which means to call to mind, mention, or to recall. This means that God has never recall your sin, they had never appeared in his mind for any reason, and he never cares to mention them again.

If you area believer that is struggling with self-condemnation because of something that you did in the past that was not right, know it is not normal, it is the work of the devil in your life. God does not remember your past, it is only Satan that remembers your past in order to make you feel condemned.

You have to know that Satan has no right to bring back into remembrance what God has forgotten in your life. The devil has no business in reminding you of how you missed your way in life and you were broken in the pass.

JOHN 10:35, where Jesus told us that,

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

The scripture can never be broken, not in the past, and never in the present, not even by a mistake. There is nothing that you have done in the past and now that is bigger that the word.

NUGGET: Satan has no right to bring back the things God has forgotten in your life. God word can never fail
