Who is Jesus Christ to me personally?
Jesus is your personal Saviour who came to save you from sin and its consequences.
Matthew chapter 1: 21.
She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Jesus is your friend who loves you unconditionally and laid down his life for you.
In John chapter 15 :13-15,
Jesus says,
Shepherd. Jesus is your good shepherd who cares for you, guides you, and protects you.
In John chapter 10:14 and 15, Jesus declares,
I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me, just as the Father knows me, and I know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. Lord and Master.
Jesus is your Lord and Master, deserving of your obedience and worship.
Philippians chapter 2:9-11.
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Intercessor. Jesus is your intercessor who continually prays for you and represents you before the Father.
In Hebrews chapter 7 : 25
it is stated, Consequently, he can save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Source of strength. Jesus is your source of strength and support in times of weakness.
In Philippians chapter 4:13, Paul writes,
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. The way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is the only way to the Father, the embodiment of truth and the giver of eternal life.
In John chapter 14: 6,
Jesus says, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Peace. Jesus is your source of peace in the midst of turmoil.
In John chapter 14: 27,
He assures, Peace I leave with you. The peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be torn. Let not your hearts be troubled. Neither let them be afraid.
Life. Jesus is the resurrection and the life offering you eternal life through faith in him.
In John chapter 11: 25-26,
Jesus proclaims, Jesus told her, I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.
