Siguiendo en esta línea de post durante este mes de marzo en homenaje a las mujeres que decidí realizar, en esta oportunidad le dedico este en especial a las mujeres artistas, esas con las que me he topado y compartido diferentes momentos gracias al arte.

Hoy podemos ver mujeres en el teatro, cineastas, artistas plásticas, diseñadoras, ilustradoras, fotógrafas, como es mi caso, pero esto no fue siempre de esta forma, muchas mujeres antiguamente no tenían el derecho de una libertad de expresión plena de sentimientos ni de pensamientos. Es bien conocidos casos de poetas y escritoras cuyos pseudónimos debían ser masculinos para que sus textos fueran aceptados y publicados, la mujer no podía votar, no podía enseñar, no podía estudiar, solo estaba destinada a estar a cargo de la familia y el hogar, doy gracias a Dios esos tiempos han quedado en el pasado.

Today we can see women in the theater, filmmakers, visual artists, designers, illustrators, photographers, as is my case, but this was not always this way, many women in the past did not have the right to full freedom of expression of feelings or thoughts. It is well known cases of poets and writers whose pseudonyms had to be male for their texts to be accepted and published, women could not vote, could not teach, could not study, was only destined to be in charge of the family and home, I thank God those times are in the past.

Hoy en día en muchos lugares del mundo la mujer sigue siendo objeto de censura, violencia y mucha desigualdad pero hemos avanzado muchísimo en la construcción de una imagen diferente en torno a nosotras que la sociedad le ha tocado ir incluyendo de poco, no le ha quedado más remedio ante el dominio de la información de las masas.

Today, in many parts of the world, women are still subject to censorship, violence and much inequality, but we have made great progress in the construction of a different image of us, which society has had to include as a result of the dominance of mass information.

Vemos lo que hemos ganado en muchos territorios y es digno de una ovación de pie, pero queda mucho camino por hacer, muchos lugares por conquistar, soy de las que piensa que el feminismo se lidera con el intelecto, y a la mujer le toca descubrirse en ese espacio de debate, de ganar seguridad y conocimiento para poder crear una transformación real y determinante de un sistema social desigual a nivel de género.

We see what we have won in many territories and it is worthy of a standing ovation, but there is still a long way to go, many places to conquer, I am one of those who think that feminism is led with the intellect, and it is up to women to discover themselves in that space of debate, to gain security and knowledge to be able to create a real and decisive transformation of an unequal social system at the gender level.

Esta transformación que deseamos ver en nuestra sociedad va en trabajo conjunto con el hombre como aliado, del hombre que suma, que aporta, del que también se preocupa y ocupa de este tema y hace algo porque sea diferente.

This transformation that we wish to see in our society goes hand in hand with man as an ally, the man who adds, who contributes, who also worries and takes care of this issue and does something to make a difference.

Hoy las mujeres protagonistas de este post son mujeres con una amplia trayectoria en el arte en sus diferentes áreas, poesia, teatro, performance, arte circense, dirección de teatro, para mí un honor haber podido compartir estos espacios del arte desde la fotografía como mi manera de expresar como las veo.
