#Monomad Challenge - Kolossus [Eng-Pt]

in Black And White6 days ago

Good evening , #Monomad friends

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.

Half-tanned

The mastery of taking materials that are sometimes not even very noble and shaping them to convey an idea is something brilliant. I have always liked sculptures. And when this art is combined with the possibility of viewing it outdoors, it ends up being a win-win situation.

This piece, created by João Castro Silva, is located outside the Torres Vedras Environmental Education Center.

This piece, inspired by the Colossus of Rhodes, conveys enormous strength. Its shadow, as imposing as its structure, stands front and center, unashamedly displaying its genitals.

The power of the piece lies not only in its very nature (iron), but also in the form it takes and the attitude it conveys to those who pass by.
