Hail to the Hive!
We have had quite the adventure trying to return here. Three months ago we were at Streethay Wharf and we booked our little narrowboat 'Badger' in to be taken out the water so we can black the hull. This usually needs to be done every 2 to 3 years and it's time for ours to be done.
But we broke down about 20km away from here and were having quite some difficulty in getting the boat running again.
Luckily for us we managed to get a tow from some friendly boaters who towed us the whole way here, even though initially they were only planning to come half way on that particular day.
So now we are here with some days to spare so I thought I'd wander down and take a look at where we will be bringing the boat in to next Friday.
I do love the feel of this boat yard as it has an old school working yard kind of feel about it.
Hopefully we can get the engine fixed before we take her in but if not we can pull her the remaining 300m easily.
The place is a B&W monomad haven also so I think I may very well get some good shots while we have the boat out of the water too!

Absolutely stunning shots!
Thanks @riyaflona I'm blushing now 😃. I am hoping to get some from inside the boatyard once our boat goes in to have the hull blacked. Hoping for some interesting shots.
Lovely shots! What sort of powerplant do those narrowboats (or at least yours) use? Also, thanks! Your comment about an old working yard got me to thinking, the largest inland shipbuilder in the US (before it closed in 2018) had a yard just across the river from Louisville, now I'm going to have to see if I can explore it or at least what's left.
We have a 2 cylinder lister diesel engine, currently not working if you watch the 3speak video in my previous post you can get a look at its non operational self. Lol. Go see whats left of that boat hard or whats left. Would love to see that.
