Since she frequently objects, I usually shoot her when she is not looking. When she senses that I'm pointing the camera at her, she loves to make expressions or hide her face. I've lost count of the number of good photographs she's spoiled by fidgeting. I absolutely understand her position because I dislike being photographed.

She had a hundred complaints about my shooting technique every time she asked me to photograph her.

However, this is not solely her characteristic. People generally have preferences for how they want to be photographed. This is precisely why I rarely photograph individuals or portraits, since our viewpoints frequently differ. That's why I typically shoot in public areas, usually from a distance, when they're being spontaneous and don't notice.
