Monomad: Black & white freestyle battles [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Greetings, dear friends of the community and lovers of black and white, I hope you are feeling great today. These pictures I want to share with you are from the last freestyle event I was able to attend last year, since they have not made new events, but still there are some interesting pictures where I captured some striking expressions in my opinion, I hope you enjoy.

Saludos, queridos amigos de la comunidad y amantes del blanco y negro, espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy. Estas fotografías que quiero compartir con ustedes son del último evento del freestyle al que pude asistir el año pasado, ya que de momento no han hecho nuevos eventos, pero aun así hay unas fotografías interesantes donde capté algunas expresiones llamativas a mi parecer, espero que lo disfruten.

It is always curious the way you can take portraits in events like this, first because there is not something planned, so everything you capture is born spontaneously and second because the atmosphere of the place itself maintains the style of the event, so you can see how people feel comfortable with what they do and where they are.

Siempre es curioso la manera en que puedes hacer retratos en eventos así, primero porque no hay algo planificado, por lo que todo aquello que captures nace de forma espontánea y segundo porque el ambiente del mismo lugar mantiene ese estilo del evento, por lo que se puede apreciar como las personas se sienten cómodas de lo que hacen y donde están.

Besides having the expressions of each participant, I also try to make some compositions taking advantage of the amount of people in the place, trying to make the protagonist stand out in a different way than just having him in the middle of the photograph, either to capture his expression or some posture in which he is.

Además de contar con las expresiones de cada participante, también intento hacer unas composiciones aprovechando la cantidad de personas en el lugar, intentando que el protagonista destaque de una manera distinta a simplemente tenerlo en medio de la fotografía, ya sea para captar su expresión o alguna postura en la que se encuentre.

Of course, these pictures must be in black and white, because this is the way I like to appreciate the expressions of the participants, the best way to focus the attention and make them stand out.
