This is the river where I went a few days ago, El Chilte, my entry to today's Monomad Challenge.

Two days ago I did a post in which I showed you the progress in my garden, I also mentioned that I would show you some of the photos that I took in the river where I went to collect sand for my substrate, so today is what I want to show, and also share with you what I consider so far a long exposure attempt to get the silk effect in the water.

I haven't invested in good quality ND filters so far because I hardly ever do long exposure photography in the daytime, but seeing that on this occasion I couldn't get closer to what I wanted has made me feel the need to invest in the filters and go back to the site, still the photographs serve their purpose of capturing the moment and sharing with you a little bit of my adventures.

For example this photograph, can you imagine the silk effect? It would look amazing, wouldn't it?

The truth is that I probably could have waited more time for the sunset to arrive or even later, but as I mentioned before, violence is out of control in the city where I live and its surroundings, and the river is 40 kilometers away and as I have no knowledge of how the situation is in the place, I didn't want to wait for it to get too late.

Anyway I have no regrets, the river looks fantastic and very cool, I will definitely come back when I know more about the safety condition of the site, and also I already have in my hands some good quality ND filters, at the moment the river is a bit dry, but in a couple of months when the rainy season comes, it will fill up again and it will be impressive the amount of water that will go down the river, good time to take more pictures.
