Hello friends, today I was thinking about what story to share with you, and here I bring you something more about our roots.

Religiousness, like cuisine on our island, is closely related to the mix of nations present in our country since Spain took possession of our country and, as the indigenous workforce declined, they were forced to bring men and women from different parts of the world to use them as a source of income.

This is how the "criollo" emerged, and with it what we call the "idiosyncrasy" of Cubans. Today I share faces, instruments, and images that have always been with us, repeating themselves year after year.

Celebrating religious holidays is part of our history, along with the whip used by overseers to punish slaves, since the "masters" allowed their slaves (a mixture of many nations from which they had been forcibly torn) to also celebrate on their feast days.
Thus, on Three Kings Day and other occasions, they displayed their colors and sounded their drums.

Today, the descendants of those men and women celebrate and honor the lives of their ancestors by wearing their colors and taking their songs and drumming to the streets.

The Cabildo de Regla, one of the city's most ancient festivals, returns to the streets as the town celebrates.

I think it is worth clarifying that this celebration, unlike others, such as religious holidays, is not related to the Catholic Church.

VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

Hola amigos, hoy estuve pensando que historia compartir con ustedes y acá les traigo algo más de nuestras raíces.

La religiosidad al igual que la cocina en nuestra Isla está muy relacionada a la mezcla de naciones presente en nuestro país apartir de que España hizo posición de nuestro país y al disminuir la fuerza de trabajo de los aborígenes se vieron obligados a traer hombres y mujeres de diferentes lugares del mundo para utilizarlos como fuente de ganancia.

Es así como surge el "criollo" y con el lo que llamamos "la idiosincrasia" del cubano hoy comparto rostros, instrumentos e imágenes que nos acompañan de siempre, que se repite año tras año.

Celebrar las fiestas religiosas está presente en nuestra historia junto al látigo que usaban los mayorales para castigar a los esclavos, ya que los"amo" en sus fechas festivas permitían que sus esclavos (mezcla de muchas naciones de las que fueron arrancados a la fuerza) también festejaran, es así como en días de Reyes y otras ocasiones gestión sus colores y sonaban sus tambores.

Hoy los desendientes de esos hombres y mujeres celebran y honran la vida de sus ancestros luciendo sus colores y llevando a la calle sus cantos y sonar de sus tambores.

El Cabildo de Regla una de las fiestas más ancestrales en la Ciudad retoma las calles en la el pueblo festeja.

Me parece válido aclararles que está celebración a diferencia de otras, entiéndase el día de celebración de fechas religiosas no está relacionada con la Iglesia Católica
