Hello beautiful Hive community, today I continue to narrate this challenge of Juan to do the ironman challenge twice in a row.
This was the last stage and the most difficult because Juan's body has been accumulating the fatigue of having doned a total of 410km so far...
He only has the last 42 km of running to go... for a total of 452 km in less than 48 hours, something incredible for any average person!
The last 42 km were done in the city of San Cristobal, something a bit risky due to the type of terrain that this city has, with many ups and downs.
Although several people have accompanied him on the different stages, very few have completed it, and none have completed more than 1 stage per day, while Juan has been doing the challenge 2 times in a row... It really is something incredible!
In the first half of this stage I was on a motorcycle taking photos and recording the documentary.
But right in the middle of this stage, torrential rain began to fall, something incredible! But contrary to what you might think, Juan was loving the fact that it rained because it helped him cool down his body and he could feel better during this run.
Juan used the rainwater jets from the houses to massage his back for a few seconds and then kept running.
"This is my entry for the #monomad challenge."
But 5 kilometers after the middle of this stage, something unexpected happened, Juan's body couldn't take it anymore and he almost fainted... he started to feel very dizzy and had to stop and rest for half an hour to get some energy again.
Seeing himself so close to finishing the challenge, Juan couldn't afford to give up so close to the finish line, so he decided to finish walking the last few kilometers he had left.
But you can already see that the expression on his face is different, he really was struggling mentally to finish the challenge.
Many people accompanied him on his walk until the end of the challenge... I was also with him until the end!
And when he finished, all Juan wanted was to hug his daughter!
452 km in less than 48 hours is something that very few people can achieve... Juan has proven to be above the world average and is the only person in Venezuela who has managed to complete this challenge twice.
