Maritime longing, monochromatic Friday

People who live by the sea are blessed.

I know such people and I gotta tell ya, the most of them don't realize that nor share the same worldly wisdom with me, hehehe. 'cause that's what human nature is, what we think we have for granted, we don't appreciate much.

Now here is my perception of the life by the sea or ocean. Those are people who live at the brim of two completely different worlds. The face the infinity every day. They could literally walk on that border, one foot stepping in the water world and the other one stepping on the "dry" world.

This is real treasure. To have the opportunity to gaze into infinity and at the same time share it...

You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

This is soooooo true! I am one of those lucky ones who was able to grow up by the sea and yeah, I did not realize then how privileged I was and it dawned on me when I left my hometown for work in the city. Kind of "you'll never know what you've got till it's gone". 😔

Now, I am loving every minute of it every time I come home, to savor and feel again the HUGE PLAYGROUND I had when I was a kid - the seaside and the vast ocean.

These pictures are awesome. 😊

Exactly! :)

Wonderfully said and thanks so much for appreciating my photos :)

Have a great weekend and some !PIZZA

You are so right, sometimes people overlook the most precious things.
The ones living on the water take it for granted after a while and start dreaming of living in the countryside, up the mountains or far inland.
Great captures 👋🏻😊 have a nice Friday!

Exactly. I suspect we are all programmed to do so.
We also constantly forget to say thank you for having so many things.
Thank you, have a good one yourself too :)

Yep, it does look like that, that many are programmed like that.

We should indeed say it more.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Enjoy yours 👋🏻😊

Beautiful photos of the sea landscape, i live in mountain area and this really make me miss the sea

Probably we appreciate the seascapes so much because we live away from the sea, true :)
