When decaying beauty never loses its charm (ENG-ESP)-Monomad challenge

ENGLISH

I'm not an expert in architecture, nor do I aim to be, but I do enjoy admiring the beauty of the structures that history holds.

The photos I’m sharing show old small buildings that in Venezuela are called "bloques" or "bloquecitos" because they are three stories high and resemble a brick block.

A few days ago, I visited a well-known community in Valencia called La Isabelica.

One of the attractions, at least from a photographic perspective (for me), is the walkways and the blocks, which create points of convergence in harmony with the very homey and intimate surroundings.

I want to go back to take more photos, as my stay was short due to the rain, and I had to take shelter since I was riding my bike.

In my opinion, Venezuelan architecture seems to have stalled in time, and as the years go by, it ages even more and gains a more decadent beauty.

I rather enjoy architecture but my eye for it isn't great. The first and third shots in this series really caught my eye though, nice work!

My mom lived for a while in La Isabelica when those apartments were new and almost everybody wanted to live in those places and now people have looked for other places like in San Diego or Naguanagua, but you can see how time has stopped in those places.
